Hi there! Let me tell you a little bit about myself.
Here's the basics. My name is Connor and I grew up in central Ontario. In 2017 I moved to British Columbia to study art therapy for 2 years. After this, I moved back to Ontario to start working in private practice in Anishinaabeg territory (Muskoka).
Art has always had an important role in my life and has been a resource for my own mental health. It made sense to me that I choose a career where I can show people how art can be used as a resource in their healing and growth journeys.
It's taken a lot of my own learning and unlearning about how art doesn't need to look a certain way and that I can just create because it feels good to.

My Story
I always felt that I could best express myself through creating. Something about it allowed me to connect to myself more and I used it as a way to explore my identity. Through life's biggest struggles and my own healing process, art was there to hold what I couldn't.
I moved to Nelson, British Columbia to study art therapy. There in that mountain town I learned that there can be alternative ways to healing and growth. I was able to take my self-expression to another level and reflect on what I was creating, ask myself questions, be curious, push outside my comfort zone and watch how that translated into my everyday life.
Whether it was painting or collage, hiking up the mountain, standing in an old forest, or writing poems in a cottage in the woods, I realized that I was surrounded by resources and this is something I wanted to share.
And I am so happy that I can share this with you.

Working with me
I believe that we all have the ability to create. You don't need to be a professional artist to participate in art therapy, because that's not what it is about. I will be there with you to encourage you, cheer you on, sit with you in the hard moments and guide you through a process.
When you work with me I help in establishing goals with you that feel right. I am not here to judge what you create, but to help you feel curious about what comes up in the art to bring insight to your experiences.
The art represents our inner world.
