Support For Children & Teens
If your child or teen is struggling with big emotions, anxiety, school stress, friendship challenges, or confidence, it can be hard to know how best to support them. You might be noticing worry that doesn’t seem to go away, difficulty expressing feelings, or changes connected to life transitions. I offer a calm, supportive space where young people can explore what they’re experiencing and begin to feel more understood, confident, and capable of coping. My approach is best suited for children and teens who are ready for a gentle, collaborative process, with caregivers who are open to being part of that support in a steady and consistent way.

FAQ
What The Process Looks Like
Working with children and teens looks different than working with adults. Young people often process their experiences in more creative, active, and nonverbal ways. Sessions may include art, play, and exploration rather than sitting and talking for a full hour. I meet your child where they are developmentally and emotionally, allowing the process to feel natural and engaging.
Your child will have a private space in sessions to express themselves and build trust. At the same time, I see parents and caregivers as an important part of the process. I provide general updates and share themes, while respecting your child’s need for privacy.

Framework For Therapy
I approach therapy with an understanding of how past experiences can impact the nervous system, emotions, and relationships. My focus is on creating a space that feels safe, supportive, and empowering.
Modalities & Tools
Art Therapy uses creative expression as a way to explore thoughts, emotions, and experiences. No artistic skill is needed. It's about the process of creating and what comes out of that and not the art looks like. Art therapy isn't about teaching arts-based skills but it is a way. to explore your inner world and representing it in a tangible way. Art therapy allows clients to express feelings that may be difficult to articulate with words. Although, it is also very common to talk through what is going on for you during an art therapy session. Generally a combination of creating and discussion is involved. For many, the act of creating art provides a safe, nonverbal way to express feelings that might otherwise remain buried. Art therapists facilitate this process, guiding clients through the therapeutic journey while offering support, insight, and a safe environment for self-exploration.
My approach is grounded in art therapy and tailored to your child’s needs, supporting emotional regulation, self-expression, and confidence as they grow.
