There is still an opportunity for us to work together. I have worked with clients who prefer a traditional talk therapy approach opposed to an art therapy approach and that is okay. Art doesn't need to be a part of the equation if that doesn't feel like a good fit for you, or maybe it is something that might be a fit for you later on.
The way I approach talk therapy is similar to art therapy, just without arts-based interventions. Traditional talk therapy is also facilitated virtually in the comfort of your home.
If art isn't your thing...

Does this sound like you?
You find yourself avoiding things due to anxiety?
You are struggling the physical sensations of anxiety?
You are anxious about your anxiety and your capacity to feel it?
You find yourself ruminating frequently?
Your self-esteem and self-worth feel low?
You somehow feel simultaneously restless yet frozen?
You feel pressured to "figure out your life" or your anxiety?
You find yourself comparing yourself to others?
You are feeling "lost" or "stuck"?
You are struggling to find joy and play?
If any of the above sounds like you. I get it. No, I really do.
I have experienced every single one of those above, and so do many people.
Whether you’re experiencing generalized, health, social, or some situational anxiety, I want you to know you are capable and that reaching out for support in whatever way is an amazing thing.
Here are my beliefs about anxiety:
The problem isn’t the anxiety, but our belief that we can't "handle" it
Self-Compassion goes a long way
Avoiding anxiety and the things that make us anxious, fuel our anxiety Understanding how our anxiety works is important
Exploring and understanding our past experiences is part of the journey

I address the concerns mentioned above through creative, tailored approaches. Together, we’ll explore your specific situation, adjusting the process to suit your needs.
My work is grounded in an arts-based, relational, trauma-informed, and narrative framework. I also integrate elements from CBT, DBT, mindfulness, solution-focused techniques, and somatic approaches when helpful.

Ultimately, what matters most is that you find a therapist with whom you feel comfortable and supported in your journey. Each person is unique, and our work together will reflect that.
